This is a red chilie dish.
About two pounds Deer meat
Six dried red chilie pods
fryin pan
blender
bacon grease, enough to cover pan about 1/4 in. deep
one half onion,white is best
flour for rolling the meet in
Cut up deer into strips 3/8 thick, any width or length, set aside
Take your chilie pods, break of the tops, open the pod look for any mold etc. tear the pod in pieces. For 6 pods you will need a cup of boiling water. Put the chilie in a blender and add the boiling water and puree the chilie. Use the seeds also for a better base.
Chop up the onion into fine pieces and place into a bowl large enough to hold the deer, chilie puree and onions.
Pour the chilie puree on the onions and mix well. Place the deer into the mix and cover each piece with the mix. Cover the bowl and place in the refrigerator over night.
The next day, or two, take your pan and heat up the grease.
While heating take your deer and chilie and roll each piece in the flour. Leave as much chilie on each piece as possible.
The just fry in up like chicken. Salt to your taste and enjoy.
Oh yeah, this just does not work with chilie powder!
Easy!
