Roman Bath House - Wish List Coin...

[CRUSADER]

For some reason (maybe black grass issue) one of our sites has been left over Winter. SS years ago suggested the Roman Tessera (picked a few up, see in picture) might indicate a Bath House, seem a good theory to me.
The conditions are perfectly flat & I'm pretty sure its the first proper grid with the Deus.
We did 6 hours in gale force winds but it was pretty warm really. Only a little rain.

My best example of a Roman Lead Die, I can see all the numbers!
I got a Roman Silver - Scarce Double Header! Marcus Aurelius/Ant Pius AD140 - I can now sell my bronze double header filler I brought years ago!

Roman Tessera or sort of floor tiles, these rough & ready ones are not the type used in fine mosaics.

What's more amazing is that as Dad was checking & logging the bronzes, one of those was a double-header as well! One of each in the same day! Its not a known type because its a 4th C AD coin, which looks like a barbarous issue more in keeping with a mule!

Yes, I had a bit of a personal connection to that one, being a bit of a gambler from time to time. Made me thing of the Roman Soldier (maybe?) that last throw it in a game & lost their denarius.
