Carried on gridding the site for just less than 4 hours.

Found evidence of under-floor heating.

17th-18th C Lead Weight (Cut in half)
Spectacle Buckle
Pigeon Ring
Iron Age Fibula Catch-plate
13 Scrappies - Nothing great today, but it's all a numbers game until the next good coin!

It's a start! Under floor heating isn't common and makes it high status. More tesselae is a good sign too. Hopefully you have a Mansio there! That could keep you going for quite some time!

We have hammered it for years. It's just one of our top sites that demands further investigation (ie Archie dig).
