Slightly colder today, felt like just below freezing, but pretty clear skies.
We are now finishing off one edge of the Site, so the finds are dropping off a bit.
Slowing increasing our hours to 4 hours total:

15 mostly Scrappies - 2 OK: Gallienus Panther reverse, & a Barbarous Imitation of Claudius Gothius II
x2 1st C AD Roman Fibula (Brooches) - 1 Childs broken bit & a larger near complete Adult type.
x2 Roman Mystery Partifacts
Bit of a Roman Childs Bracelet
Bits...

The big one was a very odd signal. Could have easily been missed. I think it was close to a small nail & slightly deeper. It was bouncing around all over the place & I asked Cru'dad with the smaller coil to finish off the dig.
Teamwork.

Just curious Cru' , how could you tell the Claudius Gothicus was an imitation? I imagine the ground was was alittle harder to dig in with the cold weather...
Glad to see you are recovering...

Years of study mostly, but the give away is the size & weight, plus the stick like figure with long bendy arms on the reverse (Official one would look better)- meant to be Salvs feeding snake over alter.

We have had no frozen ground yet this year. Only rain that has made it sticky, otherwise real easy to dig.
