It was a warm, sunny day Saturday and I drove around looking for a site that was not covered with snow. After about 30 miles of driving, I found a site I where I found a 1784 half real last year that was bare. The farmer said he was surprised I didn't show up with a film crew.... I got the joke, they had filmed and episode of "Diggers" a couple miles down the road. First 10 minutes in the field I got a perfect 78 on the F-75 and I had "roundness" in the hole which turned out to be a toasted Draped Bust large cent. Next signal turns out to be a linked set of plain faced oval cufflinks.
Well I'm thinking this is gonna be a good day, and then the finds stopped ??? The next two hours produced a 1910 penny and that was it.

Steve, nice complete cuff. I have had that happen to me many times. The first find pumps you up then the big ZERO follows...

Hey at least you found something:) I love that show diggers. Was that the one where they were in Gettysburg? Loved your roundness in the hole coin:)

Diane, they filmed a Whiskey Rebellion segment in my neck of the woods here in Southwestern PA. One of the sites the Diggers went to was hunted by me about 16 years ago. I didn't find much there (and neither did the Diggers), but on the other side of the road was a real "Nectar Sectar". Yes, the Diggers were just 200 yards (and 15 years) away from some real "Cologne". Here is some of what I found there :laughing7:.

If that's a "rough" day, I hope I have one tomorrow. Well done, Steve!

OH boy, the things those diggers could learn from you! hahahaha!
I'd be thrilled to dig a LC around here. So I say your hunt was terrific!
