Royal Tailors token

I found this token in an older city park. It is from The Royal Tailors and is good for one dollar on the price of any suit. According to a posting on eBay (which of course is not always accurate), it dates back to the 1890s. It certainly has seen better days. It's corroded, bent, has a hole in it and I gouged it when pulling it out, but I'm still happy to have it. The first two pictures are of the one I found, and the second two are the images of the one on tokencatalog.com.


Somehow I uploaded multiple of the same pics and now I can't delete the duplicates....sorry about that!

God apparently doesn't like aluminum tokens to come out of the ground looking good.
Same problem here in Denver.
Of course cans and pulltabs will last forever...
