At least they didn't do a gun call on you, some have way too much time on their hands. Nice going on the token,

Nice find on the token, what's even funnier is that key looks just like the keys they use to use at AC casinos.

Nice token. Is that a before and after photo? If so, what cleaning method did you use?

Worse thing that has happen too Metal Detecting is CELL PHONES!!!!!!!!!! People see someone go into the woods with a metal detector they call the cops and say "Someone just went in the Woods with a gun" (they think a Metal detector is a gun) or Someone went in the woods with a chainsaw (They think metal detector is a chainsaw) ! Sorry you had too deal with that.

Stupid people, nothing better to do than call the cops on us with some lame reason ? :tongue3:
Keep @ it and HH !!

Nice finds cjon455. Now, on the citizen calling in - I don't see any problem with that at all. In this day and age - many people are being ripped off by crooks, etc. So, a citizen called in, the police came out, you told them what you were doing and the issue came to an end - life moves on. I would rather that then a citizen see's something and doesn't do anything - doesn't want to get involved and someone gets seriously hurt, kidnapped, etc. Anyway, that is my opinion and most of the time no one cares about my opinion!

Few years ago I had permission too hunt a construction site in the evening by a major highway. Within 20 minutes of hitting it I had 5 Spotsylvania Sheriffs officers pull in.. Someone called the cops and said someone had a gun and was @ a construction site. They made me give them my ID and they even ran a K-9 dog around my truck because I only had verbal permission and not written. After it was all cleared they just drove off but by that time it was dark and I was never able too hunt the site that good and wasn't able to go back because I was leaving to go out of town the next day! Never know what you will run into.

Similar thing happened to me in a park. They called because they saw headlights in the park? The park is open to the public until 11pm in the summer, it was only 9pm. Took 3 officers away from real crimes. Well, at least I know who they are, and They know who I am. We chatted for about 15 minute.

Fun think is, Last time someone called the cops on me, they never showed up. LOL.

I used to scrap metal, and tote guns....but now all I do is metal detect. I guess that's a triple whammy.

Tell me, what is wrong with scrapping metal, or carrying a weapon for protection, or metal detecting for that matter? I agree, the human race does nothing but get worse, especially here, in the gold-paved streets of America, while I dig pull tabs from the 1970s ( which is not allowed) kiss my a**

There's a very fine line between digging holes for scrap metal, and disposing of the cans and litter we un-earth. Remember to tell the police the better of the two when they roll up with their squeaky brakes and guns. That is ridiculous though, I feel for you. Citizens should be concerned and aware of what goes on in their communities, but still, God forbid they have the courage to walk outside themselves to see what's really going on. I mean sure, its our right as american citizens to call the police, but nonetheless, did you hear about the woman who had her grandson arrested for stealing pop tarts out of the cupboard a week or so ago? Stuff like that happens all the time. The neighbors said he was a really nice kid.....lol.....

Oh i get what your saying, as a matter of fact the house i was detecting was flooded 2 yrs ago and then robbed blind of all its scrap metal so i can understand that people are looking out for each other, and I am glad i live in a neighborhood where people are observant but I just think it would have been nice if perhaps they approached me first, i dont bite lol. Heck even the officer said "these people are getting ridiculous with their calls". He said just last week he had to run a check on someone jogging at 7am near the flooded area because they looked suspicous wearing a hoodie, lol hello it was 7 am and cold, id wear a hoodie if i was jogging too lol

no its a front and back pic, the back is in nice shape, the front toasted. Plus my camera sucks lol

Dig a little deeper! You've found Jimmy Hoffa! Seriously, that's a nice token.
