Looked up the lyrics to this one and he said “there are those who think that they were dealt a losing hand, the cards were stacked against them they weren't born in Lotus Land”. The only Lotus Land I can find is about a botanical garden in California. Is that what he is referring to?

I've been a Rush fan forever, it seems.

One of my favorites...

My guess is this. They are/were profound lyricists.
The lotus eaters in Greek mythology were people living on an island which grew lotus flowers, which the inhabitants ate. The flowers made them feel blissful while forgetting everything of their past life, to the point where their only purpose was to stay on the island and eat the flowers.

Oh yeh ! Song about a Ferrari ! Neil Peart's favorite car was the 1948 Ferrari 166MM ″Barchetta″.
Incredible band live. I was at the 1981 moving pictures tour in Portland.

Thank you. That sounds more profound than what I found.
