I would say it is the example on the projectilepoints.net page.

Good for you!

It's a great looking relic.

Good find.

Slick point, curious did you submit yours and they typed it, or did they confirm your id or how exactly does that work?

I worked with an old Forrester and he helped dig out Russel Cave. He told me they dug out a 7 ' Indian out of there.
Read about the excavation and occupation was like 20" deep if I remember correctly. Many of my hunts are with in a few mile of there. Did you do a submission to Overstreet or projecticle.net?
That is a nice one.

I emailed them about 8 years ago and asked them to type it. Then afterwards they asked if they could use it on their site. I had quite a few listed of different finds at one time but they have found some better examples for the others and removed some. This was back when the first started their site. Iā€™ve tried to email a few since but havenā€™t had any response. They have sold the site since the beginning and idk who is running it now. Iā€™m not sure if they are excepting any new examples now days.

Projectiles site
I had a old guy tell me he used to do some digging with his son years ago in Tennessee and they were using a backhoe and finding artifacts at 15 feet. So itā€™s not the first time Iā€™ve heard that.
The land owners like so many I have permission from are getting older and really donā€™t want people on their property anymore. Iā€™m guessing another 5 years or so I might not have anywhere to look as they pass away and the properties get sold. I still have a few but nothing like I used to have. There was a creek below this find spot that was loaded with beautiful artifacts but nowadays Iā€™m not allowed on it anymore. Itā€™s land locked by homes. I havenā€™t been in it for about 3 years now and I bet they are laying out. Reds, blueā€™s and black swirls. Iā€™m about to loose a property I have walked for 8 years. They are selling it off in 2-5 acres. Itā€™s $50k an acre. Sad how many times itā€™s happened
