RYEDALE sorting users, speak up.

Mine has been sitting in my closet for the last 3 years. Just no time to use it. I really need to set it up again. If I do, I'll let you know the results.

I too am curious about this ! Thank's for the thread - a former girlfriend had a ryedale , i remember trying it a time or two .

I no longer have one. I do much better searching for errors than I ever did sorting coppers with the Ryedale. I do, however, still sort while checking for errors.

Ask the question at Realcent, and you will get a lot more replies.

Two reasons I stopped using it because it was too good.

1) I would fill half dollar boxes with coppers and shove the filled ones under my king size bed. I ran out of room.

2) I would get so many boxes and bags of cents it gave me a hernia carrying them.
* out to the car
* up the stairs to my apartment
* sorting
* back down the stairs to my car
* back into the bank

I think the straw that broke the camel's back (literally) was 11 bags from one bank in one day.

Cyberdan: do you still have the "coppers", and if so, what ratio was the findings, and how long ago was it. Can you extract Wheaties from the coppers somehow on the RYEDALE?

a) do you still have the "coppers"
b) what ratio was the findings
c) how long ago was it
d) Can you extract Wheaties from the coppers somehow on the RYEDALE?

I will try to answer in the order you asked.
a) no
b) maybe 20%
c) 5-6 years ago
d) no

d) continued. I accumulated over 1400 wheaties while sorting. Here is how.
put old towel on bed
grab handful of sorted coppers and spread out on towel
position yourself so you are facing window but not with light in your eyes (you - coins - window)
the wheats just look different (a little deeper brown, after a while you will be a pro and miss very few)
