My guess he probably did go Overboard with his response.
But ... I'd need to see the reasons why also.
From what I've seen in his last thread, some members here definitely went Overboard also.

Wow. We all solicit opinions and input. That's what forums are for after all. But isn't there an inherent risk that an opinion and input from responders might be: "you are mistaken" ?

And to the person giving that input, they feel it is very productive/correct input.

Yes, the solution for such topics , is to put them on sub forums to which they belong. Categories where you would find potentially more people to agree with you. Otherwise, it's like getting on a Garrett forum, and asking "how great are whites or Minelabs ?". However you will never be challenged by counter-evidence, if you never subject your views to contrary opinion.
