First park today produced in 1954-S silver dime, 3 wheat pennies, and a foreign coin from Japan. Hit this area hard for about 4 hours. Clad was about $4.00. Took a lunch break and headed to another park.

On the other side of town there was another small park under construction and renovation. Large amounts of dirt had been moved around by bulldozers and backhoes. I managed 5 wheat pennies, a religious medal, and I eyeballed an old marble just laying on top of the ground. There should have been some silver!? Oh well, at least I got one for the day!

Hi, nice finds, marbles is always nice to see!
I can See the good about searching on a construction site now. Thx for sharing!

Nice finds! i think your pin is US 6th Army, I think from the 20's or 30's. If i remember right the WW1 era pin should be flat, yours seems to be domed. A pic of the back could help narrow it down.

Nice finds and nice pics. Thanks for taking us along. The Army collar disk looks like ones I've found from WW1. But mine are flat. So curious to see if yours is flat or domed like Ken said. You ever run into a guy named Chris who hunts those parks? I was fortunate in the past to hunt with him in some Oakland and SF parks. He's found some great stuff there. You have some great hunting spots out there. Thanks for posting. :icon_thumright:

Thanks for all the comments guys! The army pin is definitely domed shaped! The reverse has a round attachment that screws on to hold the pin to a collar. Wow! This could be WW1! Thanks all!
