I've been told by a University of Washington Astronomy Prof. that about 6 meteorites have been officially discovered in Washington State. I would probably have a better chance of winning the lottery than finding a meteorite. However I haven't bought tickets, but I have crawled around under the brush and berry vines since a lad, looking for interesting rocks.
I would like your comments on some rocks all found in one site. Listed are some findings of my surface inspection; attracts rare earth magnet, interiors ae very hard and do not leave a streak mark, high specific gravity, oriented with melt flow around sides that indicate direction of earth entry, embedded visible shiny gold metallic grains in black crust, and brown to clear thin glass coating under the black surface film. Under macroscopic magnification with a digital microscope, there are lots of small impact-like craters that have "metallic looking "splash" beads around the rim of the "craters."
I have lots more pics I can post if any of you find these specimens interesting.

That is correct only 6 meteorites have been found in the state of Washington you do not have any !!!!

Your comment indicates a personal need for education regarding the subject. There are as many random meteorite strikes in Washington as in any other state. Do you really believe in the last 4.5 billion years, Washington State has avoided meteor bombardment because only 6 have been found? Washington state's western rain forests erode and transform meteorites very quickly, however Eastern Washington's climate has vast desiccated landscapes that preserve geological events quite well indeed. Also, please be polite and civil. Four exclamation points is hysterical screaming.

Volcanic or Meteorite-like rock specimens

I apoligize for my photos not posting. I will try again. Most rock specimens vary in size from a hardball to softball. I'll post grams and specific gravity later. Mineral analysis is in progress at a private lab.
