This is my first year metal detecting. I've only been out 5 or 6 times, but I'm already hooked. Today I found a Sacagawea dollar coin. I also found 5 clad quarters in the same hole which was exciting. No silver, but still a fun afternoon.

I need to invest is a better pin pointer. My cheap bounty hunter isn't getting it done.

Good deal!
Great finding a spill of that value, even if they weren't silver. SCORE!

I spent almost 20 years without a pin pointer got one free from a buddy 3 years ago ... Love it! I got a whites bullseye 140

Nice finds.I found 5 clad quarters once. I was ground balancing the DFX and when i put the coil to the ground i gets an overload.
I had to laugh.

Congrats on the clad haul. I believe you can tweak that pin pointer to increase it's range from 3/4 of an inch to maybe an inch and a half. I saw it on the internet somewhere. I have one and it's used as a paper weight. I have 2 Garretts now, 1 Pro Pointer and a carrot the wife gave me for Christmas.

You keep finding money and you can easily afford one...
