Saint Mary's cut and my new coin record!
Yesterday I went back to the cut where I found a gold pendant last week reasoning there must be more. When I got there I realised even more sand was gone. 3hrs later I had 106 coins totalling $72 approx - 3 pieces of hallmarked silver - all came out black - 2 toe rings and a signet ring with a tiny ruby / red stone - I gave them an electrolysis bath, another religious momento - this time a bangle (copper I think - had tiny magnets on each end that had started oxidising) and a heavy dog tag I wish I could return - it says "Daddy" and on the reverse "Love Callum" - I don't know what it is made of yet - rose gold / copper colour
Some coins were sunbaking - I love how they sit dead flat on the sand - mainly the small 5c pieces. Alas no more gold - I know it is there somewhere ...maybe deeper but $100 bucks / gold / silver for two hunts is keeping me happy
