Looks like the salmon are running now. Bodega is where I learned to fish No salmon, just rock fish, dig clams, and try and see how far I could make out on the breakwater, without falling in. (never made it to the end)!
 

thanks all, it was a great trip. And Don, they taste BETTER than they look. :) Nothing like fresh, ocean-caught salmon. We fish for them in the river also but usually smoke them for best flavor, these that we get offshore we like grilling the best.
 

Man, if I posted pics of the stuff I catch here locally, you guys would call it bait!
 

hey fiddler, fishing is fishing, don't matter the size of the fish. :)
