I went to the same fields that i have been hunting this spring.
The Round Balls are plentiful all different caliber, and some chewed.
Found a Star Pattern button, back mark of Burnham, and a Pewter Button some type of mark but i can`t make it out.
A 1883 V Nickle, spoon handle says "Jackson" ....near by road has Jackson in the name.

You never seem to have a bad hunt Gary. I would like any of those. The star button is especially nice!

Man that's alot of lead!, some great buttons too!

YOUR ON A ROLL !!!:occasion14:

Nice relics! Congrats! Cool personalized spoon handle! Do you know if there was a Jackson home site?

We have a "Field house" here on Field st. I would really like to check out "mansion lane" tho. :laughing7:

That was a solid hunt there. Is this field near a waterway? You are doing very well this Spring. Keep it up!

Nice collection of finds . Love the history behind the lead . Was it fired In anger or hunger , Running toward a foe or food or running away from a foe or bigger food . Wish that lead could talk

Gary:
Nice finds you do a great job in those fields. love those buttons.

Nice looking relics, that pewter button looks to me like it might have an anchor on the front.

I don`t think it`s the Jackson homestead,my old maps don`t show a home site on this spot or close .

Steve

I was just thinking that same thing ,at first glance it does look like an anchor , then when you look too long your eyes start playing tricks on you.

Great stuff G.A.P.
Cool Star Button too.
Ill take musket ball's any day .

Hmmm..... Flat buttons, musket balls.... And even pewter buttons? You should be pulling out a few large coppers soon, Gary! nice hunt!

Oh if you ever figure out what that star button is, please let me know. I dug two of them in a singe Civil War relic camp a few years back. :)

Great finds Gary, those fields are amazing. The anchor button is one of the sweetest finds. Congrats on all the finds.

Still lots of targets, who knows what goodies are still left there.
I like that pewter.
