Or can one find or buy topographical maps of Georgia etc, cir,1950s or before.

visiting sw georgia this weekend, these maps are a little harder to read than the florida ones..guess cause i live here , really excited for the visit this weekend.

Get any topographic maps from USGS for free. You download a zip file. They even have old historic maps available the same site. For help contact mapman that is oldmapman@gmail.com retired from the USGS. USGS US Topo and Historical Topographic Map Collection
