welcome to TN, you will love the ace its light weight and easy to use. If you are going to be hunting parks, save up for the small coil. It really helps in trashy areas.

Welcome and good luck with the new detector. With you as a partner Santa already has his first treasure of the season.

Thank you all for the nice comments! Yes the Ace is my first detector, I'll be going out sometime next week with my husband (seger98) to test it out! I'll let ya know how it goes.

Welcome aboard, LadyLuck! :)

From what I've heard, you've got the perfect detector to start with. Good luck!! :)

Welcome and good luck!

Don't forget to get a good pin pointer - it'll save lots of time and digging.

I see in my last post that no words showed up ??? so I'll try again. Thanks for the nice comments and tips. I hope to go out to the local park this week with my husband (seger98) so we can try it out. It seems like a very nice machine. His Sov GT is too big and heavy for me to swing around for long and this a nice lightweight unit. I'll let ya know what I found with it :)

i could just hardly see you post as well, hope to hook up with you guys next summer, and check out some of that copper culture stuff, congrats on the new detector. folks just bought me a gps for locating some of the old gold mines I'm trying to find around Marquette, Mi

We should be back in WI about mid-April. Really looking forward to detecting there again.....
