Saturday can't come soon enough now

I stopped into my favorite bank's drive through today, I always go up to the commercial window, and picked up a box of dimes and nickels. The teller there who saves all the halves that come in for me said that she only had two, which I took, but that she had some old pennies inside of the bank. She said that they were the ones that said one cent on them, that she had 2 or 3 full rolls of them, and that she had thought about keeping them but, that if I wanted them she would hold them for me. I told her I would love to have them and that I would stop back on Saturday when she would be back inside of the bank.

I don't know how many different kinds of old pennies say one cent on them but getting a few full rolls of any old coins should be sweet even if they are only wheaties.

As far as I know, all pennies say "One Cent" on them. Some are centered, others are near the edge.

I didn't know which she really meant but She said they were real old ones and were "the ones that just have a big one cent on them," I think she knows what a wheatback is so I assumed that they were at least older than that. I'll have to see on Saturday.

If they are pennies, they may be British or foreign. Buy 'em all!

both wheaties and indian heads have the one cent on the back.. my guess is a bunch of wheaties! good luck!

They turned out to be wheatbacks, five solid rolls of them. Mostly all are from the 40's and 50's. I told her thanks and to keep an eye out for anything else, she said, "I always think of you when I see anything." I have brought them candy a couple of times, nothing better than a teller in the pocket.
