A beautiful spring like day today, so we went back to the fields we were in last week, I wanted to do the banks of the stream, so himself headed off to dig all the pre dec coins! xx

This lovely button was in the bank by the stream, then a weight, himself was excited to find a girl guide badge! Couple of buckle, some ammo, an electroplated spoon, a huge piece of bell metal plate, pre dec coins, and 4 sixpences!

Pre dec coins are, 1936, 1930, 1906, 1918, 1938, 1929 and 1921 pennies. (1 toasted penny)

1940 (x2), 1936 and a toasted half pennies.

1943, 1938, 1942 three pence.

8 decimal coins.

1929, 1942, 1945 and 1946 sixpences.

In the first stream pic, I found an old crossing/weir. On the right you can see bricks in the opposite banks, and on the left there is a metal device… couldn’t get a better pic as very aware I should not risk falling in ….. 😆 xx

Nice finds as usual. Those sixpence are really nice looking. That little creek is neat -- Any idea what the structure was that was there before (the bricks, the dam, etc)? Looks kinda small for a mill?

Not sure there is no mention of anything there on the old maps 🤔 … but in the summer I will try once more to get him to detect in the stream, when hopefully the water won’t be as deep / fast 😂 xx

Congratulations on the 4 silver six Pences.
8 drams weight = 1/2 oz.
Sweet button.
Girl guide thingy looks familiar.
Keep on the friendly side of the wind tomorrow.

You've gone modern (relatively)! Something like 2,000 years between your older finds and more modern ones? I like all your finds and pictures. We're still in midwinter and the only MDing I can do is vicariously. Please keep up feeding us!

Great finds as usual! Awesome...

Girl guide.
Creek crossing.
Money.
Button.
Bullets.

What the heck was going on there? L.o.l..

Great hunt and keepers. Congrats.

I know a story about a tot and a creek at a new home . Oh he got wet. Then went and got his snow pants.
A sister didn't applaud the practicality and laughed instead at the returning huffed would be creek conqueror / faller inner.
Probably no money aboard the tot. A button yes. A bullet maybe.
Downstream though were old wagon trail dumped refuse spots from which old bottles would eventually be discovered on drier days by an older lad.
