So I was driving north on I5 yesterday and came up behind a truck hauling this huge awesome barge thing. He pulled into a rest area so I followed him in to get a better look. I figured it was an awesome dredge headed up to bthe Columbia River to be put on a barge and shipped to nome. Turns out its some kind of barge thing that's used in the salmon hatcheries along the river.

This is only half of it, the other half arrived while I was leaving, along with a 3rd truck hauling a bunch of equipment that goes on it.

The rivers are not good enough for the fish to live in so they make those, now I know why they had to double all are tags and and other licence fees. I hate to even wonder what that cost the Oregon residents. Nothing but the best for the ODFG.

Just think, if it was a sluice, imagine the amount of material you would have to feed that thing. Of coarse you sure would have an awesome clean up?
