Saxon Gaming Piece Field - Day 9...

[CRUSADER]

After seeing Nan we did a further 2.5 hours on this field (see title), & did OK.

4 Scrappies
3 Tudor Buttons
Roman Locking Pin Terminal
2 Fibula Frags
Lead Token
Jetton

On the way back to the car I got a Tombac button that I've been hoping to get for some time. These figural/animal types are hard to come by. You need about 6000 blank tombacs to get one of these! Running Fox (first of this type)

That's a nice button

Very nice button! Like one myself, still have a long way to 6000....

[Argentium]

The kinds of finds people make when they are on their way back to the car - has me thinking we should all head back to the car a few times
on every hunt ! Nice Button .

It amazes Dad & I how many times the best find after hours of gridding comes from a random hit. Thats why however tired we are, we always wait to the edge of the field to switch off. It even happen to Land-Mag the other day, he got his best condition Roman Coin travelling down the edge of a field to the car.

[Westfront]

I guess it's because you think the day is over, swinging more relaxt and slower...too many good finds on the way back to the truck to happen by chance.

We do not move slow on the way back, it fact the opposite, twice as quick with no care at all.
