I hunted tonight and upon turning on my Legend, the rain gushed. Windy. Found my van, drove home soaked.

An hour or two later the sun peeked out. I figured this to be another jar lid as I had turned up a few....deep.

The cloth inside turned to goo.

Interesting find, no doubt. I am wondering of that "cloth" inside was
actually "char cloth" that is often used in starting a fire.

Yesterday and today same spot old bottle cap W&S old bottom not sure if it’s age but old thread still attached

Neat find!
It's most likely a pyx ( reseptical used to carry eucharist to sick or homebound) rather than a rosary case but still something we dont see everyday
