Hey guys this is Capt. Tom inregards to this law, and all unconstitutional laws that take your right to the, " Persuit of Happiness" in this country should be ignored! Go about your business as usual. The state can't police any where near effectively, the waters that surround Fla; We have a free hand!!! The laws are totally in violation to the free will of the citizens of this state; country!

thankfully enough hue and cry stopped this "monster' of a bill -- it would have placed "total" control in the hands of the archies over ALL OF FLORIDAS PUBLICLY OWNED LANDS --EVERY LAST SPECK OF OF IT --- please note that using the city of st augustine as per the urging of it city archie made all of the city of st augustines "publicly owned land" off limits to detecting UNLESS you get a "permit" from the city archie ( uh the same one that wanted a "ban" in the fist place * so unless your name ends in PHD or your a student working on a "feild dig" type event -you will not be issued a "permit' / no permit = no digging and no digging = no metal detecting

with the death of bill S 868 --the st augustine archie sprung this "trap" --if the bill had passed --just think of the "trap' that the archies as a group could have "sprung" on ALL the publicly owned land in florida --instead of just one city (st augustine)
