Primary Interest:
Relic Hunting
Spent yesterday with the wife digging a untouched colonial period site. 28 flat buttons, pewter rosettes, brass rosette, pewter spoon handles, round balls, a few buckles, some ornate buttons, small silver ear ring, silver cuff links, a 1746 brown Bess butt plate piece, and several other misc finds. Four King George coins, only one date is legible 1787. The small piece with the Masonic emblem and bust on the other side may be the find of the day. I'm very curious what this item is and could be valuable due to the age.

If anyone knows what some of the stuff is please feel free to chime in. I know more about civil war relics than colonial period. Thanks for looking!

Man you killed it! Big congratulations. The oval piece with the two holes in your second pic is the back of a saddle strap guide.
