SOMEONE ASKED AWHILE BACK WHY THERE ARENT MANY BANNER FINDS FROM THIS FORUM -
WE ALL NEED TO SUPPORT OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS HERE NOW AND THEN -
HE GOT 3 GOLD RINGS (WHICH WAS ICING ON THE CAKE) AND A BRACELET WORTH PROBABLY EASILY $500-$600+

many times the items found on banner - aren't worth that much - but are just unusual or rare to find - but not always valuable
heavy gold and gold with ice we find is a lot of times way more valuable - we just don't get the same respect as the relic hunters

That's what I was saying. They give banner for things that are old and rare, regardless of value. Modern jewelry doesn't fit either of those.

Go back and look at past banners, there have been many for jewelry over the years...

Jason, you couldn't be more wrong.

Yes If we decide the banner vote is a popularity of the finder & not the item,
and the finder is a child, or relative of, but not a full legit member.
I will refuse to post it, & there is a Rule no 10K or costume jewelry,
but as TH says look back over the banners http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/banner.php .
the number of banner votes have over ruled when the find is a legit exception.

allot of the problem is Members in forums like Beach & Shallow Water,
See allot of this stuff on a regular bases hunting beaches,
so they are rarely impressed enough to vote banner.

F.y.I. If I had seen this thread Before I bannered his Finds,
it would have messed things up for Dave.
as I would have considered this campaigning (Politicking) for Votes,
meaning it would have taken 3 times as many votes to get me to consider it.
