I got curious about a vacant lot in the neighborhood and did a little research at our local historical society. I found out that it belonged to one of our founding fathers and there had been a home there till recently. I have been unable to find out who owns it yet but I did secure permission to hunt the house next door so I could hunt the property line. I also hunted the grass between the sidewalk and the road. These are my finds for 4 hours of detecting. The ring is marked "sterling" and is surely antique.
