And at least this one was readable,my first 1800s coin that you can actually tell what it is. Dug this in a site where anold park used to be,have scored a pretty 1916 Merc in the same vicinity last year. I wish the reverse looked a little better but for now I'm satisfied with this beauty.

Ok, you just tied my V-nickel finds. Now I have to go out and get another[emoji2] Nice one CG. Hope you have a wonderful year my friend.

that's a nice V nickel, good that you can get a date off it, congrats!

Thanks for all the sweet comments. I know this coin isn't worth much but it is to me,I know how hard it is to find nickels, much less one so old.

Congrats! A V nickel is on my long list of coins I haven't found yet. Maybe one day!

Nice find. Always glad to drop one off in my pocket while hunting. Makes up for all the trash targets I seem to be good at finding.

NIce! I am still trying to hit one of those!

Sweet find!!

You've got 2 more V nickels then I have, unless I can count the one I found digging for bottles in a bottle dump.lol

The kid has two to his credit not that, that helps my finds.

WTG Nancy!! Now, watch Steve dig a "V" one year earlier just to aggravate you-LOL. Congrats on your Atlanta C.S.A. buckle being awarded a Best Find of 2014 by W & E Treasures Magazine. HH, Q.
