I haven't done much artifact hunting this summer due to a lack of hunting spots and extra time. I checked the good old streambed in the coulee I have been hunting and found a nice surprise. 1 5/8" Lookingbill made from Knife River Flint.

I think at some point it was lying on the sand at which point a cow "plopped" on it and then another cow at a later point flipped the pie to expose it. 20190902_130348.webp20190902_122356.webp20190902_150451.webp20190902_150506.webp20190902_150535.webp20190902_150552.webp

A good quality point sometimes makes up for lack of hunting time. Nicely made piece

What an awesome find! Those notches are hard to beat. Professional.

My thoughts as well....... some broken stuff this summer but few and far between. This point made up for that!

Thanks Huzzah! I found it very near to where my oldest daughter found a similar point.....it is the patinated side-notched point in the lower left. Pretty sure her's is a Lookingbill as well....maybe the same maker.20190406_150127.webp

Great find:notworthy: Love those Lookingbills, and older than most people think.
