We only had a short window because my mate was waiting for a call to pick up his boss from hospital.
The flags stayed in the car & I wanted to see how much targets were still about on the Trackway Site.
I was pleasantly surprised by the number of buttons & pieces of lead. We now know where to start gridding on the next visit.
My mate got a landmark find - his first Sceat. I'm very please because that was a tough one to tick off the list.
2hrs 45mins;
Sceat Circa 730AD - Thought to be associated with Ingwald, Bishop of London (Now Recorded as the 24th known example of its type) - NOT MY FIND.
Roman pierced coin
6th C Saxon Brooch
Circa 8th C Saxon Strap-end
Medieval Horse Harness Hanger
Bits...
Excellent result for a wander.
