scrap prices up in NJ

lite iron and junk cars are now bringing $9/100lb as of yesterday, up dramatically over the last month. It had gotten down to around $3/100lb.

Sold some scrap in KS

No1 copper 2.60 lb

no2 copper 2.50 lb

Air conditioner coils that are called reefers here. 1.30 lb

I didn't sell any cans or stainless steel but they were .55 lb

Commodities are up do the fall of the dollar. I am holding all my aluminum and copper and for space reasons I have to sell the rest.

I sold a pickup load of tin today. Last week it was 70.00 a ton, this week it is 100.00 a ton.
