That's a pretty cool piece. It's got a small endscraper and sidescrapers on both sides. It fits perfectly into the palm of your hand. I like the unusual tools and scrapers.

The second frame is all Sonora chert or flint from central Kentucky, my favorite lithic material. Typically brown, blue or purple in color but can also be red, green, yellow, orange, you name it.

Nice looking scrapers Steve, that jasper, agates and krf is killer stuff.

I like those big heavy duty scrapers you're posting Frank, nice examples.

Okay Frank, here's the Scrapers I promised I would post.

The last two pictures are of Scrapers with Engraver Spurs that are usually considered to be Paleo.

Here's some from North Dakota that are made from Knife River Flint, Agate, and Jasper. These are some very fine Scrapers.

And last, but not least, here are some that all from one of the known Paleo sites in my area. Quite a few have Engraver Spurs on them.

I have one that seems to resemble SRV's with the engraver spur, though maybe it's a spokeshave instead. it's different than anything I've found, and one of my favorite tools. Translucent, uniface, even thickness. Maybe pertrified wood?

I don't think its pet wood naturegirl, unless its palm wood. I have some pieces of petrified palmwood that looks somewhat like that....goat

i never realized that the scrapers around here are so dang nice and to think i went for years and didn't even pick them up cuz they are so prolific
now i realize that i was not only spoiled but a little dumb
been finding a fair amount of them lately, mostly KRF
i'll try to post some images of the ones from the last few weeks
i like the ones on the first, 7th, and last images the best

also th3rty7, your scrapers in your fist post of this thread look so good, they sure remind me of the way north dakota scrapers are made
