Sorry about focus. Need to learn how to make sharply focused closeups.

Diameter is about the size of a half dollar. Two small rectangular slots opposite each other near the edge. Spanner wrench slots?

Brass or pewter. Can't tell for sure.

Found while hunting a civil war campsite but there is also an early 1900s house site near where I found this.

Cant say what that is... but you can improve your close-ups by using a magnifying glass. I was surprised how well it worked for closeup of coins. Especially if you dont have micro on your digital.
