any ideas it appears to be solid silver it's not marked other than the script.

I think it's a 'B' for Broken knee ;D

It looks like a B but im not so sure it is , the top of the B isnt as id have thought best represented.Its almost like PS but the S isnt right and it would be an awful fancy P.

Its very similar , but its not the same.That problem with the top of the B isnt present in DCMatts example.

Mike I'll take it as a B so would they engrave plate or could this be good silver and not be marked?

Mike it is just an oval cover for a serving dish the hole thing looks hand hammered no marks other than the script
