SE/E-Trac Pro Coil...or 10 x 12" S.E.F. Coil ?..Any one get to use Both of them?

I have the Pro coil that came with my Etrac, and have a chance to upgrade to SEF coils...Anyone used both the PRO coil, and 10 x 12" SEF on your Explorer/ SE /or Etrac ?
Any difference at all in performance, stability , or depth?
Has anyone used -ANY- of the SEF coils....I am not married to the idea of the 10 x 12....
I am considering the 12 X 15 as well.

I use the Pro Coil, and do not feel a better coil exists for my ground conditions/trash that I hunt in. My buddy, Bryce(Silverfreak), swears by the SEF 10x12. If you read his posts, I'm sure you're aware of what he finds with that coil, as you are of what I find with mine.

Neither two, IMHO, have any advantages over the other. Both are high-performing coils. I think the Pro coil may be a little lighter than the SEF. l I do know that the 12x15 is a "BEAST" to swing....very heavy.

Thanks for answering Captn_SE......
I had purchased the 15 x 18" SEF,and tried it about 20 minutes in my test garden....IT is a Beast. Almost 1/2 # heavier than it's little brother the 12 x 15. I think the 12 x 15 is 1/2 # heavier than the 10 x 12 as well.
I was told I could exchange the 15 x 18 for another this week ,and was looking for the right SEF replacement.
I had been leaning toward the 12 x 15,but thought if I could find out if the 10 x 12 could fill a special niche I might trade for it instead.....(i Could do without having to lug around that extra half pound.....If I thought it couldn't produce any more than the 10 x 12 or Pro coil .....LOL)
I have read many of Bryce/ILL's posts, and I try to keep up with your posts as well. I didn't know if anyone had both coils and had tested them against each other,Or I thought maybe 2 hunting partners had compared their SEF/Pro coils.
LOL.............If I knew buying the 10 x 12 would insure some of the (SilverFreak) Seated coins. I would jump all over it...........But seeing as I have not developed as much technique, and hunting knowledge as You or Bryce.........I am afraid I might HAVE To Lug the extra SEF weight and Cheat.......LOL
Thanks again Dan

It's really hard to "cheat" at this hobby. Word spreads very quickly about new accessories/machines.

Long hours out in the turf/field, along with a good machine that you know very thoroughly will produce the most success.

The more patience, persistence, and time you put in, the more you will find. That's the hard facts.

I'd be careful about using a larger coil, thinking that would be an advantage. I think the 10x12 is about as large as I would go in trashy zones. In the parks I hunt, I'd miss a lot of good, deep targets that are hiding next to or underneath trash targets if I used one of those large coils. The parks I hunt in contain lots of shallow clad and surface to deep low conductor trash. A larger coil would allow more of the trash targets to blend in with the deeper, fainter, coin targets, allowing you to hear more noise rather than a solid isolated target signal. Some guys on the forum are even opting to use the 8" coil, and are having extreme success in their parks with it. Just ask Ricardo_NY. One important key to success is good, accurate target separation/analyzation, unless you're one of those "dig all" kind of guys. The majority of my silver coins have come in the 5-8" range, and many were hiding next to or underneath pieces of trash/iron.
