Does anybody have any killer SE programs they might want to share. It doesn't matter it they are solely for gold, silver, clad or anything else. I am just starting to learn how to input the programs and it's FUN!!!.... Thanks

Here's what I did when making a program and it can work for you as well. I took and blacked out the entire screen and then did the accept and reject programming. I took a bunch of different coins that I want to find and started accepting them. That would start opening up the black screen allowing these values to be recovered in the hunt mode. I also had the pulltab and a medium sized gold ring. I would run these under the coil after I had accepted the nickle. If they did not ring I would take the next biggest icon to accept them or reject. Hopefully I am making some sense and I hope it helps. Not really much to it as far as programming goes.

I just always hunted with a pattern that mimicked an iron mask of 27 or so, then I could flip over to an All Metal iron mask if needed. I also masked out the 4 pixels in the upper right hand corner that make a square (00,31 - 01,31 - 00,30 - 01,30) to prevent falsing of big iron.

Thanks, I just finished doing that except I didn't use a pull tab. Also I used about 10 different sized gold rings and a platinum ring. I don't know, I may have over done it with adding all of the extra gold rings. I used the small icon too. Do you think that was a good idea? I just hate the thought that I might miss a gold ring. Thanks again.

I have had a bunch of those readings and I was worried that I might be missing something really good. Thanks for the tip.

I took the SE out this morning with the program I put in it and it did some better. I got a couple of solid coin signals and got a 46D wheat and a 47 Canadian penny at around 6" and they both sounded good. I dug up a toy train wheel at 10" while I was thinking it could be a silver quarter, lol... There has to be silver in that yard and I'm going to hit it on the weekends while it's empty.

I used the small icon when I wanted to accept the Gold Rings and Nickle's. I used the Large icon to rejest the pulltabs if I remember correctly than I would swing the nickles and gold rings back under to make sure that I did not reject them. If rejection happened on the rings then I would use the small icon to open that part up within the pulltab (large icon) area. Hopefully I am the one making sense this, but I do understand what you are asking and doing. It has been a while since I messed with that. If you can, you should get Andy Sabich's book Exploring the Explorer XS & S or the Explorer/E-Trac book as it did help me understand the Explorer much more clearly than what Minelab gave with the machine.
