Mike I envy your temps. My water is still near 50 degrees.
You will like the Garrett but find it almost too deep. If you are younger you won't notice the sore back with the extra gold you'll find. Once you read the manual, lay out some different targets on clean sand to get a feel or the way it responds. check out how it handles iron near a good target too.

Thanks, But I ain't that young and my youngest is just as excited to my digging for me. Yes it is nice on the Gulf Coast. raised on the East Coast also lived in the UP of Michigan a few years ago. Will post my first finds( hope fully not all nails and beer cans lol) after a few runs
