For those detecting Indian River county (aka. 1715 fleet) I meant to post this a little sooner but you know how the memory works as we get less young.
I was at the local building dept. a week ago Friday and it so happened the plans reviewer was approving the permit for the dune crossover repairs for the Sea Grape Trail access. For those not familiar with this access, it has been shut down since Dorian (?) blew through in 2019.
Here's a couple of images from Nov. 2. Can't imagine why they closed it.


I would imagine this whole process will be completed and open by Turtle season on March 1.
And just because, here's a few of sand conditions from the Turtle Trail entrance about a mile south, which is the only access point for about 2 miles either direction till the repairs are made.
