searched a big coffee can last night

My Dad has a big metal coffee can he throws his change into, he's been using the same one for years. Over at his house yesterday, he mentioned it was full and did I want to go through it before he brings it to the bank. Said sure, why not.

I think I'm going to start collecting 1965 quarters and dimes. I found a ton. Talk about frustrating. Nothing pre-65 except a few nickels, but none we war nickels so I tossed those back.

Other than that I found two wheaties and finished off my daughter's state quarters books.

Skunked- happens to me all the time with family and friends stashes. Best I can get is copper pennies from their jars. Although I did find a few war nickels once from a relatives can. Just enough to keep me interested ! "Just when you thought you were out, they drag you back in"!

Your pretty brave if you collect 65's, I get pretty mad every time I get a 65 (quarter or dime that is).

Just looked through my parents jar and found a 1962-d Dime and a 1942 wheat. Gotta love silver!
