These are a few from a trip I just took to Utah. Once I got into Utah I was behind a lot of the smoke from the fires in Colorado. I was in 99° weather and down in the 50s. Saw a few aspen trees turning color and finally as I was coming home a little rain.

Snow in the forecast for us on Monday. We might just squeak through this fire season relatively intact.

Beautiful country! I really miss being knee deep in a stream like that, with a fly rod in hand. Aspens turning already.

Snow?!! Man, it's 95 here today. Good luck with the fires.

That be a nice change. I'm sure you can see I followed in your footsteps yesterday. Say RG, have you ever stretched out for a nap on any of these rocks. The warms really feels great on your back. I'd do that some times, as I once lived in walking distance from the old RR grade road and wondered all over the pinon trees, looking for artifacts. You can experience some pretty strang dreams when you let yourself doze off amongst the sounds, smells and breeze that blows through the pinions. Sadly though there's a lot more development and people around there now than there was in 1983. I hardly saw anyone back when I was up there, but one time a cop came out to see if I happen to see an escapee from the correctional facility that went unaccounted. I guess they caught up with him heading towards Salida that same day.
