I reached a small milestone today, pulling my 50th silver coin from an old fairgrounds. To top it off the coin was only my second seated from there. I had been trying to find one for the last few days but couldnt even get a descent signal, after about an hour i got a deep "thump" very broken , but repeatable. I hit with the Quick Mask and recieved the exact same sound. Heart rate went up a bit. Dug a 6 inch plug out and placed the probe in the hole and dead on 12-45/46 a nice silver sound, and three inches lower i saw the edge of the dime peaking through the dirt. When i first pulled it out i thought it was a mercury dime, but then flipped it over and saw the wheat and corn on the back and knew i had either a barber or a seated, but i wasnt about to rub it. Looked at it for a while and was able to make out the 91 in 1891 and knew i had a seated. 9 inches down kind of slanted a bit, wow that was fun, i love finding silver in iffy signals.. Makes silver number 132 for the year.
