Took my first trip back to my favorite Seated park, the one I hunted a week ago last Saturday with Ed and Tony from New York. Went to an area we didn't cover but that I've covered at least a dozen times in the past, with my Explorer XS, SE Pro and Nox. Finds were sparse, just a wheat and a common Jefferson, but then I came across a one-way signal but solid and registering 8 to 10 inches deep, so down I went. After pulling out about 8" of soil with nothing to show, I swung the coil over and it rang solidly in the high 80's/low 90's, so I dug more and as the dirt from one of those shovel-fuls fell, I could swear I saw silver. You'll see what I saw in the dirt and then what it turned out to be. Got a similar signal just a few feet away, another very deep one, and this one turned out to be a very crusty 18xx Draped Bust LC. The Seated dime is my 32nd from this park and 37th Seated overall.
Still digging my share of deep nails as I get used to the new machine, but I'll gladly trade a few nails for these old deepies- hard to believe I missed them so many times!

Enjoy the pics and HH All!

Congrats on the silver and the LC.
Sometimes the old sq. nails are just part of a hunt regardless of the machine.

That dime is a beauty! Nice to see a cc mintmark too. Quite a collection of Seated coins you have amassed. Congrats fellow Mass hunter.

Nice going on the seated

Awesome!!! Congrats!!!

Wow you're finding that many old coins from one park? I wish I could find a site like that. I've been looking but nothing so far.

I've been hitting this park for 20+ years, over 1000 keepers, 37 Seated coins, 32 of which are dimes- and it keeps producing- I've been blessed. Thanks for checking out my post!

Congratulations; never hunted out.

Dang man, I gotta get me a seated park. Most my parks are pull tab parks

Very nice finds.

Just to share.
I tested Manticore prerelease for Minelab.
In 2 of the sites I used detector for testing (sites that had many other good detectors in to include CTX and Etrac), I dug my deepest higher conductive coins ever out of.

I'm really liking this machine. Learning the methods to improve depth, separation. Didn't get to post it, but I went back there Tuesday- found 9 Indians (one C/N), a buff and a Vnickel, 2 wheats, all in areas I've been hiting for over 20 years.

Love the coin!

Hey there Jeff! Not sure how I missed this post. Congrats on a great find. You sure went deep to pull out that beauty. Well done!

Congratulations 🎊 on the 1877cc. Way nicer than my corroded one. Now you have to find the 1877 indian to go with it..

Other than the S mints, it's the only one I have yet to find- hopefully soon!! Thank you!
