seben extreme depth detector

i have not purchased my fist metal detector yet but, i noticed a seben extreme depth metal detector on ebay which claims to be a superior machine up to 500 gbp...what is gbp and what are your thoughts on this unit? thanks in advance for your reply

Here are some reviews of this model. I have seen this reviewed in the Geotech forum. It never had favorable reviews.
I thought that Dave in the first post gave excellent advise- plenty of good used detectors with great reputations out there.
