After my good fortune in finding that 1926 commemorative quarter eagle, I thought I should hit the beach to see if I was on a streak. And sure enough I found this Spanish treasure coin in Vero Beach.

I can't see a mint mark, but I believe this one was minted in China!

It is a great find regardless :)

Yup, fake, just like the one I found a few days ago.....

This one had the appearance of having been in the wet sand or water for some time. It was up the slope in a little seaweed line, and not very deep. Showed up like a penny on the Legend. Looking at the edge it does appear to made of copper.

It doesn't take long for junk metals to get crusty in salt water. Look at our zinc cents for example.

Nice find
Congratulations

For sure. This seems to have a copper base.
Well at least you got some "Scrappers Gold " better than Zinc & I hope your 1st Gold was the real deal .

I have not been here on TN in months .

Thanks. First one was a 1926 $2.5 sesquicentennial.
