Prices for the better Morgans and the flying eagle are not too out of line, the last Morgan and the others are way overpriced.

Agree. I wouldn't touch any of the coins except for the '96-O and '98 Morgans. The Flying Eagle would be alright (price-wise) if it wasn't heavily cleaned. The rest - forget about it. If you are looking to buy common date Mercury dimes at half his asking price, I'm sure the entire T-Net community would be tripping over themselves to get in line to sell them to you. Same goes for the V-Nickel.

Yep Diver Down has it right. I was going to say I have a pile of V nickels and Mercs if I could get a quarter of the price your guy is asking. Those are some offensively outrageous prices. I understand not many people are parting with silver dollars for cheap but the rest ,... whew

Yeah that’s what I was thinking also. Is it worth while to even go for the 96 and 98?

How much would you guys probably pay for the whole lot

Holt: suggest you get a current RED BOOK and "BLUE BOOK", look at the big differences. The blue book should be the closer of the correct price to buy at, if you check the dealers price compared to the red book are close, then pass on the purchase.

IMHO, I would find another seller that is more fair on the coin prices. The Morgans are 20% to 30% overpriced compared to what I can get them at and the other coins are way overpriced. Of course, not all areas in the U.S. are the same as far as pricing and sometimes has to be considered.

Oh I completely agree. The grading is always what I struggle with.

He’s not my usual seller. These are ones I found online locally. I figure I will offer him probably $55 for the Morgan set and merc.
