I have a digital scale from a discount hardware store that gives me multiple weights for the same coin. The variance can be as much as 0.3 to 0.4 grams on a nickel. That won't fly for me. I'm thinking that a 50 gram scale with a 0.01 readout should be sufficient. I just don't want to spend money for a scale more than once. I've looked at online recommendations, but I'd like to hear from the experts! Thank you.............

Pocket scales are good, up to 1 lb., but find one that reads 0.01g to one hundredth of a gram, not just tenths. Test measure with a known given weight in grams.

I got the one from Amazon that weighs to hundreds of a gram, not tenths. It was around $11 and is apparently recommended by drug dealers as all the "People also bought" items were drug related.
