Seminole War Flintlock Side Plate?

Hello everyone. After 4 days of heavy rain I was finally able to back out to my favorite fort. I was able to digs these buttons and a musket ball. I also found something that resembles a flint lock pistol side plate. I’ve included 4 pictures so you be the judge.

Not a side plate which were brass, but more likely a lock plate which were iron

I’m just about finished with the lock plate. It appears to be a pistol lock plate now that I can see it a little better.
