Spent a few hours out today, still waiting on my fields to be stirred up, but decided to check it out and was a good day over all especially the weather.

100_0421.webp100_0422.webp A couple unfinished points I believe and a couple broken points.

100_0424.webp100_0425.webp drill base, a separate drill tip, a hafted scraper and a small 'what is it'.

100_0426.webp It is worked all around and has the grooved part, but this thing is small. Perhaps something for scraping down arrow shafts? any help or ideas on it is appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Nice finds. Congrats!

Wow neat finds and good eye, not obvious to see on the ground I imagine.

Yea some days are harder than others to spot these. Still a lot of ground cover too, still worth searching though :icon_thumright:

Love to find one, I know 2 were found in the st.francis river near my wood cabin. Keeping my eyes peeled, hope I'll be as lucky. I'll be checking for your next posts. HH!

Nice hunt you had some are very frame worthy. On your last one I find some that look to be the stack they had to remove to finish the point so it was thinned. It could of been used as a scraper or tool or just thrown away. But I believe it was a stack that was removed to finish the artifact. I keep them I have 3 or 4 of them that are big enough to be used as a tool.

Thanks rock, I wasn't sure exactly what it is. I believe I found one similar to it last year as well that was kind of crude looking, but Looked like it had some purpose.

Cool finds! What area of NY?

Your on the right tract...good finds...something real good should show up soon!!! Good luck!

Awesome find!!!

Here are 3 big examples I have found. I sure would like to find the item they were finishing by the size of the stacks. Top and bottom the bottom is flat.
