Shaun7 Sunday's Finds..........
Shaun7 is having modem issues, so I'm posting his Sunday finds for him.
He battled though the weather all day & got some great finds.
Not sure how many scrappy romans (although one was pretty good), but about 5.
Best find was a 14th century Heraldic Stud (shield shaped with chequered pattern). It went on the horse leather of important families. Dad & I have only had about 3-4 of these. They are rarer than the Horse Pendants.
A very unusual Georgian Pipe Tamper with match strike on one end. I think early 18th Century due to the narrow head which went in the small clay pipe bowls.
Plus a nice 'S' shaped buckle.
